Our Instructors & Staff Members

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of DIAMOND MARTIAL ARTS's instructors and other staff members, starting with Phil Monaghan:

Phil Monaghan  (Master)  Master Phil has over 25 years experience in many martial arts systems as well as 18 years experience in instructing. Master Phil enjoys competing and holds many Australian Titles in Taekwondo for both Poomse and Sparring, he has also travelled to Korea to train and compete and won his world championship for sparring there. Master Phil Holds a 6th Dan in World Taekwondo Federation Taekwondo WTF a Third Dan in Combat Hapkido as well as a Black Singlet in Kick Boxing WKA.

Tanja Kraus  (Student Services leader)  Tanja joined us from the sunny Gold Coast where she ran a successful real estate company. Tanja can help you with all of your student services needs, be it enquiries about our upcoming events, equipment needs, or questions about membership - she's here to help! 02 6651 4646.

Dave McDonald  (3rd Dan Instructor) Dave re-joined Diamond Martial Arts after moving away to Alice Springs! Dave trained with Diamond Martial Arts and earned his 3rd Dan Black Belt (WTF Taekwondo) in late 2003 and moved to sunny Coffs Harbour in 2007. Sabom Dave is an awesome instructor and especially enjoys teaching the Little Dragons here at the school.

Andrew Skeen  (3rd Dan WTF Taekwondo) Andrew Has been a member of DMA Since it opened in Coffs Harbour. Andrew is a committed martial artist who holds a 3rd Dan in Taekwondo and recently earned his Hapkido 1st Dan.

Paul Meek  (2nd Dan) Paul is a dedicated hapkidoist. Paul commenced training in Hapkido 6 years ago and is a keen and focussed instructor. Paul is also continuing his personal martial arts journey having set the goal of 3rd Dan in 2010.
